Left Hand Domination For Right-Handed Golfers
by: Vince Dev

I was also a tennis player but I focused on golf since 10 years now. I'm a right-handed player.

In the golf downswing, the left hand must be in control for direction and power. The right hand should only assist in the push for more power, together with the right shoulder, just immediately before impact.

The left hand must be dominant so that you will not commit the MISTAKE of hitting the ball "outside-in" causing a slice shot.

The right hand cannot have that much direction and power because it is "tacked-in" with the belly as you do the downswing, and the right hand must only push with the "SWIFT RELEASE" immediately before impact.

This is in order not to slice the ball as a result of an "outside-in" swing movement with the arms.

In other words, by not letting your right hand dominate you will prevent an "outside-to-inside" swing movement.
